Have you just exported a CSV file and it contains unwanted special characters (accents, letters that seem misinterpreted, for example)?
Here is a workaround that, in a few clicks, will allow you to get a file that better meets your expectations.
In this article:
Fix the CSV file
- Download the Notepad++ application (free software)
- Right-click on the CSV file in question
- Select 'Edit with NotePad ++'
- The file opens in Notepad ++
- Click the 'Encoding' tab
- Click 'Convert to ANSI'
- Save the file: it is ready to be used, the special characters are correctly interpreted
- The encoding procedure is complete
