Job descriptions allow you to define a position based on its missions, working conditions, and required skills. They are useful for recruitment, internal mobility, creating a training plan, evaluation, or a career plan.
To quickly visualize the available internal resources — and identify gaps in order to implement an action plan (internal training, recruitment) — a job repository is available. It allows you to take stock of jobs, associate skills with them (automatically or manually), identify employees who possess them, and export job descriptions in PDF format.

Create a job description
Access: Skills > Job descriptions
Two methods are possible: create a job description with the Eurécia assistant, or create it manually.
With our assistant
Click “Create a job description”, then select “Use”:
Enter the name of the searched job, select the desired item from the list, then click “Add”:
The job description is created by automatically including elements from the Répertoire Opérationnel des Métiers et des Emplois. The proposed information can be modified at any time.
Without our assistant
Click “Create a job description”, then select “Do not use”:
Then fill in the fields related to this new job: the job name (job description title), the job family (to organize jobs by family), the job description and the associated missions.
Associate skills with the job description
Automatically generate skills via AI
Access: Skills > Job descriptions > Required skills tab
Click “Generate job skills” in the relevant job description:
Then click “Generate”:
The generation starts automatically based on the job title:
An Excel file can then be downloaded:
Once downloaded, the file can be modified if needed, then imported again via “Import skills”:
Or directly from Menu > Admin area > Skills > Import, as explained in this article.
Manually generate skills
Access: Skills > Job descriptions > Required skills tab
From the “Required skills” tab, click “Add skills”:
Check the desired skills (they appear in the right-hand box), set the expected level for each, then click “Add skills”:
Associate employees with the job description
Access: Skills > Job descriptions > Employees tab
Once the repository is in place, associate employees with job descriptions. In the “Employees” tab, click “Add employees”:
Note: if salaries are entered in employee records and your access permissions allow it, employees' salaries will be visible in the Gross salary column:
Select the desired employee(s) (the Structure and Department filters help find them), use the arrows, then click “Add”:
How is the level calculated?
For each skill, the proficiency level is calculated as follows: (employee's evaluated level × 100) / required level for the job. This calculation determines the color of the dot displayed next to the skill. Eurécia then averages all the proficiency levels.
Specific cases: if the level exceeds 100, it is capped at 100. If a skill is not evaluated, it is counted as 0. If it is a key skill, a factor of 2 is applied (it counts twice in the calculation).
The number of associated employees, available training sessions, and compensation ranges (if specified) are visible from the “Characteristics” tab of the job description.
As part of pay transparency, you can indicate compensation ranges on each job description and choose whether or not to make this information visible to employees.
Note: you can also associate a job with an employee directly from their employee record, in the Skills tab.
Export a job description as a PDF
Access: Skills module > Job descriptions
Click on the desired job to open it, then click “Export job description”:
In the window that opens, click “Export”:
Note: the file is sent by email and by notification in Eurécia as soon as it is ready. Click on the notification to download the PDF.
Notification preview:
Preview of the generated job description:
Detect pay gaps
Access: Skills > Job descriptions
From the list of job descriptions, you can export an Excel file summarizing all your employees and their associated jobs, in order to identify pay gaps within your organization.
Click the Detect pay gaps button at the top right of the list:
A window opens to confirm the export. Gaps are calculated relative to the median salary per job, allowing you to quickly identify atypical situations.
Click Export to download the file, or Cancel to close the window without taking action.
💡 Save time with HR Analytics
By importing this file into the HR Analytics module, you benefit from advanced features:
- Interactive charts with women/men gaps
- Automatic identification of at-risk jobs and individuals
Manage job families
Job descriptions can be organized by family. To access family management, click “Other actions” then “Manage job families”:
The list of existing families is displayed. To create a new one, click “New job family” then enter its name:
To edit an existing family, click directly on its name, make the change, then click “Save”:
Note: the Skills module is linked to the training and review modules. If used alone, features linked to other modules will not appear.
