Why is my balance different?
It is completely normal to notice a balance discrepancy between Eurécia and the payslip!
Eurécia displays your real-time counter balance: in other words, from one moment to the next, it is possible to see balances change, or even project into the future to observe leave balances on a given date!
Your payslips are populated by absences that were requested in Eurécia and sent to payroll at a specific moment in time: it is a count at a precise moment.
Simulate my counter balance in Eurécia
Access: Leave & Absence > My permissions
The 'Balance as of dd/mm/yyyy' column indicates the balance on day D. By default, it is set to today's date.
It is thus possible to view my leave balance in real time, but also to find the information mentioned on my payslip.
- I change the reference date using the 'Simulate balances as of date' filter
- I click 'Display'
Note: To simulate the balance of my last payslip and be able to truly compare my counter balances:
- I enter the date of the last day of the month of my payslip in 'Simulate balances as of date'
- I enter the date on which the export of absences to the payroll software was carried out. (This information can be provided to you by your primary administrator.)
The different reasons that can explain a balance discrepancy
You simulated a balance as of the last day of the payslip in Eurécia and despite this, there is still a difference 😒?
Here are a few things to check:
- The number of days earned is not identical to that of payroll? This can come from the settings of the leave type. To check your settings, consult this article: Create or modify an absence or leave type
- The number of days taken is different in payroll? Some absences were not deducted in the same way or not on the same counter. Check the permissions taken by leave type and check that the data is identical in payroll and in Eurécia. To easily find the list of absences for an employee: View my leave and absence requests
- Your employee arrived or left during the month? The calculation of the prorated leave rights may not be the same as in payroll. Inquire with your payroll provider about the calculation method and consult this article: Leave accrual for an employee arriving during the month
- The settings for corrective impacts are different from payroll. Inquire about the calculation method used in payroll and consult this article: Stop the accrual of leave rights during an absence
