Skill assessment is a crucial step in managing your talent.
Identifying expected levels by job and the current skills of your employees allows you to develop an adapted training plan, optimize internal mobility, and improve team satisfaction.
In this article:
Customize skill levels
Access: Admin area > Skills > Skill levels
You can fully customize the desired levels: two, three, four levels, or more!
Note
The former “Non acquise” and “En cours d'acquisition” levels are no longer mandatory and will be deleted by default if they were not used.
Were you using them? No worries, they have been kept for the affected clients. You can keep them as they are, modify them, or delete them.
Modify the label of an existing level
- Click the pencil icon at the end of the line for the level to modify.
- Modify the name, then save.
Add a level
- Click “Ajouter un niveau de compétences”.
- Enter the level name (for example: “Basic”, “Intermediate”).
- Enter a percentage corresponding to relative acquisition — this percentage is not visible and is only used to rank the levels in order.
- Optionally enter a definition (optional, visible only to the administrator).
- Save.
Note: when assessing a skill, the 1 to x scale is displayed. A tooltip allows the user to view the corresponding level name.
Deactivate or delete a level
You can deactivate levels you no longer use. Click the cross in the “Désactiv.” column to deactivate the level concerned:
Skills assessed at this level will change to “not assessed” status and it will no longer be possible to select this level. A deactivated level can be reactivated at any time — data is restored.
Only levels displaying a trash icon can be deleted. Click the trash icon at the end of the line, then confirm by clicking “OK”:
Note: changes made to the skill repository (renaming, deleting or modifying levels, changing labels, etc.) no longer have an impact on performance reviews already created.
⚠️ Warning: deleting a skill level is completely irreversible.
