When your employees work overtime in a week, it can be transferred to payroll or feed a recovery or modulation balance.
With Eurécia, you can easily manage these transfers automatically or manually based on the rules you have set up 😊!
The employee can then submit 'Récupérations' type absences from the Leave & Absences module in order to recover their unpaid overtime.
Eurécia supports you in managing the recovery balance and allows you to limit the period during which time off in lieu can be taken (for example, within 3 months following its acquisition).

The recovery balance
Access: Admin area > Congés et absences > Type de congés et absences
⚠️ Warning!
If no 'Récupération' absence type is configured, you should create it beforehand using this guide: Créer ou modifier un type d’absence ou de congés
Click on the absence type linked to recovery
-
In the 'Mode de cumul' section:
Remove all automatically acquired rights: the balance will be fed by the overtime declared by the employee from the Time & Activities module and transferred by their Manager
Check the box 'restreindre la durée de vie des droits à moins d'un an' to reduce the timeframe for taking time off in lieu (warning: for this feature to work optimally, it is recommended to submit time off in lieu in chronological order and avoid cancellations as much as possible)
Enter the validity period of the rights in days
Select whether the validity period is in working days, business days, or calendar days
-
Select when the validity period countdown begins:
from the 'Date de fin de la feuille de temps et d'activité': if the timesheet ends on 17 April for example, the employee will have X days from 17 April to submit their recovery, even if their Manager took 2 weeks to approve the transfer
from the 'Date du transfert' of these rights into the balance concerned: the validity period of the rights only begins from the day the overtime is transferred into the balance by the Manager
Save
Check the order in which time off in lieu is taken
Access: Admin area > Congés et absences > Profil congés et absences
- Check in the leave profiles benefiting from time off in lieu that rights expiring quickly will be used first when employees request recovery
- set 1 in N-1, 2 in N, and 3 in N+1: thus, in January for example, if there is remaining overtime recovery from late December to be requested, these hours will be taken as a priority
